You can get blacklisted finance when the banks will not help, it is true. As you are black listed and have a bad credit record, the banks will not allow you to borrow money because they are unable to trust that you will pay it back on time or at all. You are seen as a risk to lend money to by them because of your financial history, but do not despair, there are others out there who offer secured loans to people in your situation. All of these companies that are willing to help you will have their catch though, so it is up to you to pick out the ones who seem most reasonable.

The most important factor for you to take into consideration when you want to get blacklisted finance when the banks won’t help is the interest rate of the loan from the lender. As you are a risk, the interest rate added onto the loan amount will be higher than usual, but if you are desperate to borrow money, you will take it, and lenders know this, which is why they allow it whether you have a bad credit record or not. The secured loan is then yours, and it is up to you to make absolute sure that the payments reach the lender on time, otherwise they are sure to take extra legal action.

The banks have their obvious reasons for not wanting to lend you money, but other lenders know the risk they are taking and still they provide you with the funds. If you do not want to drag yourself even deeper through the mud, you have to make the loan payments your top priority until it is fully paid off. There are many different and willing lenders, all you have to do is find out which of them you would like to use to get blacklisted finance for that new car or personal reasons when the banks won’t help.

Blacklisted loans in South Africa for people who have a bad credit record and need to borrow money to temporarily help them out of a difficult situation are available in the form of secured finance. For those who are not sure what this means, a secured loan is the type that you have to sign something of value against as security for the credit provider in the event that you default on monthly payments. The fact that you sign a contract with the item of value against the borrowed money means that you do risk losing that item.

Property is what most people use as surety against blacklisted loans in South Africa. The lender agrees to lend cash to the applicant if they are willing to sign over property to secure a loan. In the event that a borrower cannot repay the lender then the company is entitled by law to take ownership of the property that was used against the finance. Therefore those who may have a poor credit record and are looking at ways of borrowing cash must really think very carefully before agreeing to sign a house or other form of property to secure a deal.

Unsecured loans for people with a poor credit history are almost non-existent although there are a handful of loan sharks that may be operating outside the credit laws and offer to lend to anybody. Be extremely careful when looking for ways to get money fast from micro lenders and such, if possible, have somebody who is familiar with the law look over any contracts. At the end of the day, if a person is up to the eyeballs in debt, struggling to pay creditors and previous loans, have been blacklisted and have a bad credit record in South Africa then it is not more finance they need but rather some form of debt counselling.

Urgent cash loans are for when an emergency happens and you need to borrow money fast and find a quick financial solution. If you are short of money you will be looking for immediate finance, and may not know where you can get that cash from. In South Africa, the two most common and safest ways to get secured finance fast are through your bank, or through accredited lenders. The amount that you will qualify for will be dependent on whether you have a good or bad credit history.

Generally, available urgent cash loans can be secured through your bank, especially if you have been with the same bank for a long period of time. The best thing to do is to approach your bank with a clear explanation for why you need to borrow the additional finance and a plan of how you will repay them after you borrow money. Depending on how fast you need the cash, a bank is the safest way to get a loan because the interest rates are set and stable.

Sometimes a bank won’t be fast enough. In this case you can approach any number of lenders. You should be aware that there are certain regulations governing the provision of finance in South Africa, and you should only approach a business if it has been classified as a certified service provider. Some money lenders (often known as loan sharks) who are not certified charge high interest rates which can mean that the emergency could put you in unnecessary debt. Make sure that if you choose this option you have the means to pay back the money at an appropriate interest rate.

Sometimes an emergency can strike us when we are already in a difficult financial situation. Bad credit or a blacklisted record is something that will make finding money more difficult. In these cases you can approach financial institutions, and make it clear that you will have the means to pay it back. You can also look into debt consolidation loans which will help make your credit record more appealing. Urgent cash loans are available, but it is important to investigate all of the options and find which one best suits you.

Criminals often send out hoax phishing scams in an effort to trick you into thinking they are from ABSA bank and in order to try and capture your personal details. Be very careful, ABSA will not ask you to click on a verification link in an email and then request your PIN number, telephone number, account details etc on the webpage that the link takes you to. There are some virus protection programs that can filter out these mails or warn you about a web page after you have clicked on an email link but the best thing is just to be aware of these mails doing the rounds.

If you receive an email from what looks like ABSA bank and it seems to be official but reads something like the following, do nothing except delete it. You can phone the bank as well to be 100% sure.

Dear ABSA Bank customer,

This email was sent by the ABSA Bank server to verify your ABSA Internet Banking account. You must complete this process by clicking on the link below and entering your account information. This is done for your protection, because some of our members no longer have access to their online access and we must verify it. To verify your e-mail address and access your account, click on the link below.

https://ib.absa.co.za/ib/ib.jsp

Please fill in the required information.
This is required for us to continue to offer you a safe and risk free environment.

Thank you
Accounts Management
Copyright © 2009 ABSA Bank

This is just one example of many variations these online criminals are using. There are others and some of them pretending to be from other major SA banks such as Standard Bank, Nedbank and FNB and in each instance you can phone your local branch but they will all tell you the same thing, do not click on the link and delete the email. Sadly many people are caught out by these types of scams online and identity theft, in particular with the ABSA bank phishing scam methods used as there have been so many of them.

Knowing what phishing is and if you need a filter will help you to avoid getting caught out by the fraudsters that are involved in this unethical online behaviour. This is one of those types of scams on the Internet whereby criminals will attempt to obtain somebody’s personal information or banking details. They then try to use your details to process transactions from your bank account or accounts. There are a few ways to avoid becoming a victim and avoiding being tricked by criminals involved in scams such as these.

The major banks in South Africa are fully aware of what phishing is, how it works and how these criminals operate. FNB, Standard Bank, Absa, Nedbank and others will have fraud teams and investigators that can be contacted if you feel you are being targeted by one of these online scammers. Keep in mind that NONE of the reputable banks or financial institutions in South Africa will ever ask you to update personal information such as PIN numbers or passwords via an email or a telephone call.

Follow a few simple rules and you can be sure that you will never fall prey to one of these types of Internet based scams at some stage. Never access your online banking via a text link in an email, type the URL into your address bar or save it as one of your Favourites and access it from there. Do not respond or reply to any email asking you fro personal information even if the mail threatens to close or suspend your account if you do not respond. Never participate in so called surveys that also ask for personal details or reply to any email that requests you confirm, refresh or verify your account, credit card or address information.

There are kinds of filters available to help people identify this kind of spam and scam attempts but this is not necessary to install if you just follow the few rules above and use your common sense. If a certain email looks legitimate then give your bank or financial institute a call or go and speak to them if you can with a printed copy of the mail. There are so many attempts at this kind of thing by many criminals online on a daily basis but if you simply exercise a little common sense and be very careful which emails you are replying and responding to you should know and recognise what a phishing email is the moment you receive one.

Petrol price changes in South Africa affect thousands of motorists nationally and tips on how to save fuel will help a lot of people to keep a bit more money in their pocket when the next price increase comes around again. The constant fluctuations in cost around SA are due to a number of factors including the cost of oil, exchange rates, levies and taxes. This year in particular (2008) saw the cost of fuel rising to new highs although in the last few months it has dropped again.

The unpredictable petrol price South Africa experiences can often become annoying for those relying on their car to get them to work and back so knowing how to save fuel on the SA roads will come in very handy. One way to save money on petrol costs is to simply slow down. Cutting your driving speed from a modest 100 kph to 80 kph can cut your fuel consumption by 15 per cent. Also, try to drive more smoothly. Accelerating and decelerating uses a lot of juice so the smoother you drive, the less fuel your car will use. Keep your revs down as well, engines run most economically at revs between 1,500 and 2,500. Keep between those figures and save yourself some cash.

Another tip to help you improve your cars fuel consumption is to keep your tyres inflated at the correct pressure. Under-inflated tyres increase resistance on the road causing cars to use more juice. When you drive off in the early morning, drive very carefully for the first few kilometres as a cold engine will use twice as much petrol as a warm engine will. Open windows will cause drag when driving on the SA highways at speed so keep them closed when possible. If you have an air conditioner in your vehicle, try to use it sparingly. Regular services will keep your car running smoothly and help a lot towards economical fuel consumption. Hopefully some of these tips will help you to save fuel while you are driving and you will not feel the pinch so much next time there is another increase in the petrol price in South Africa.

Highest paid jobs are sorted and determined by the level of education required by a paying employer to enter a particular field of expertise. Highest paying employment research is mainly determined by the hourly wage earned and cannot necessarily be taken for granted that the largest salaries can be earned in those particular fields. For instance a lot of building construction work can earn a qualified employee a lot of money but is often seasonal and employee’s working in this area may only work on projects at certain intervals. Getting to work on an oil rig is similar in that although the salary may be a lot, the work is normally on a per project basis and may only be for a few months in a year.

Also many highest paid jobs may differ greatly in salaries from region to region and certainly from one country to another. Working as a doctor in South Africa for example is not going to earn someone as much money as if they were employed by a practice and worked as a doctor in the UK. Higher wages are normally available in and around the major cities in most countries whereas the lower paying jobs would be in the smaller towns and rural areas.

Here is a list of the top 20 highest paying jobs around the world according to research done at the time of writing this information and with annual salary figures in US dollars:

Film Directors – estimated $956.050 a year

Bank CEO – $567.050 a year (entry level)

Actors/Actresses – $357.430 a year

Professional Athlete – $131.680 a year

Computer programmer – $126.940 a year

Actuaries, certified – $119.680 a year (base salary only)

Paediatricians, general – $116.550 a year

Psychiatrists – $113.570 a year

Family and general practitioners – $110.020 a year

Dentists – $110.820 a year

Pharmacists – $110.240 a year

Chief Executives – $107.670 a year

Airline pilots, co-pilots and flight engineers – $99.400 a year

Podiatrists – $94.500 a year

Lawyers – $91.920 a year

Optometrists – $88.100 a year

Computer and information systems managers – $83.890 a year

Physicists – $83.750 a year

Air traffic controllers – $83.350 a year

Petroleum Engineers – $81.800 a year

The above are salary paying jobs only, some employment in certain industries offers profits and bonuses that can lead to greater annual earnings. The list is really just a rough guide and as time moves on and inflation continues the list above is going to eventually become outdated and obsolete so do not take it as absolute truth, just a guide. For those looking for career guidance it is plain to see from this list that education is the number one key to getting the highest paid jobs possible.

Make money on the web through work from home business opportunities that exist with programs such as getting paid for writing content, google AdSense or affiliate marketing advertising. There are many different angles to approach this and start making some cash online and the most popular for people who do not have a website is getting paid to write articles and content for those that have their own websites. The best way to do this is to contact the webmaster of a site on a topic that you are an expert on and can write about and drop them an email asking them if they would be willing to pay you for any written articles you are willing to supply them with.

Another popular way of making money on the web especially amongst those who are just starting out is to create your own website or have someone design a website for you and then apply to sign up for the Google AdSense program. The Google AdSense program allows people to display ads within their site and get paid a commission when visitors show an interest in what is being advertised and click on the ads. If you decide to apply for this program then be sure to read though the terms and conditions thoroughly as it can be quite easy for a newbie to easily get their new account banned.

If you do not have a website then you may consider trying to make money with email marketing using an online affiliate program. Basically, you can sign up at no cost for one of the various Internet advertising affiliate programs and if you are accepted you will have the opportunity of displaying advertisers banners and links within your emails. If somebody clicks on one of the banners or affiliated links within your mail and it leads to an action or sale then you will receive a commission amount on that sale or lead. Do some research and check out all the opportunities available to you online and you will soon discover that learning how to make money on the web is not that hard after all.

Work from home business will suit people looking for online money making ideas and how to make a living by working on the Internet. There are a number of ways to approach this including signing up to get paid for writing content for various websites, joining programs that pay you a commission on pay per click advertising (PPC) or by joining affiliate advertising programs. The other online opportunity that used to be popular for people looking to make money from the comfort of their home is getting paid to do surveys. Getting paid to do surveys in South Africa is not worth the trouble and time it takes, there are very few that are relevant in this country and those that are do not pay out a lot of commissions.

Starting a work from home business in SA is not that difficult if you can get somebody to help you put together a basic website which you can start earning money from steadily. These types of online opportunities do not bring in thousands of Rands overnight but if you have a bit of patience and are prepared to learn and work hard then you can certainly build a venture up to be come a profitable source of income.

One of the best programs to join when starting out in the world of Internet opportunities is the Google AdSense program. Google AdSense costs no money to sign up but you will need a website. Once you have your own site you can sign up for an AdSense account and if your site is approved you can display google ads on it and start to earn an income almost immediately, albeit just a little to start with.

PayPal.com accounts are available in South Africa but users in the country are not allowed to receive money into a Pay Pal account online. South Africans may however spend money from their paypal account at various ecommerce online stores that accept payments via the Internet. One thing that a South African citizen may not use an account for at the moment is to transfer funds from their PayPal account into a local SA bank account. Whether this will change or not in the future is anybody’s guess.

South Africans with a PayPal.com account are blocked by the SA Reserve Bank from transfering funds into their personal or business bank accounts because the Reserve Bank cannot then control the account users. The Reserve bank views a Pay Pal account as an illegal offshore account because a person is able to receive money into it and then spend it again without the cash ever entering South Africa, which is a violation of the Foreign Exchange Act.

As South Africans are not yet shopping online and using credit cards on ecommerce websites as a means of buying goods quite as much as is happening in the UK or USA there is not a lot of fuss over this problem. Also, because of Pay Pal not allowing SA citizens to transfer money into a local bank account there are now a few alternative online payment gateways available that enable a South African business to receive payments on their websites for products and services. Here’s hoping that one day in the future online businesses will be able to make use of PayPal.com in South Africa as a means of accepting credit card and other electronic payments online.
